Print and distribute 750,000 due date receipts into the hands of young families throughout public libraries

Background

Club Oilers connects fans to the Edmonton Oilers in a unique and fun way. By signing up, users can show off their team pride, connect with other fans, and get priority access to team news and other exciting content.

Objective

Club Oilers determined that families with young children would be the primary demographic for this campaign. They worked alongside Wild Cards to bring awareness to their Club Oilers App and increase app downloads.
 

Task

As part of this campaign, Wild Cards reached out and created distribution agreements with libraries within Edmonton, St. Albert, and Sherwood Park. 750,000 due date receipts were sent to various families in the previously mentioned regions over a 4 week period.



Results

Thanks to the support of the due date receipts, Club Oilers saw a 60% increase of app downloads during the campaign. Oilers fans young and old got to experience the thrill of staying up to date with their favourite team and got the opportunity to meet fans who were as equally passionate as they were about the sport.
